1. Brief Introduction

Hook type shot blasting machine is a widely used surface treatment equipment in foundry, forging, machinery manufacturing and heat treatment industries. It belongs to overhead hanging shot blast equipment, mainly used for descaling, rust removal, oxide skin cleaning and surface strengthening of medium & large castings, forgings, structural parts and heat-treated workpieces.

The workpiece is suspended by lifting hooks; the hook can lift, rotate and move into the blast chamber automatically. High-speed rotating blast wheels throw steel shots at high velocity to impact the workpiece surface, removing rust, scale, burr and contaminants efficiently without chemical pickling.

2. Main Structural Composition

• Hanging Hook System: Consists of lifting hook, driving motor and rotating mechanism. It realizes workpiece hoisting, in-chamber rotation to ensure all-side uniform blasting; single/double hook designs are optional for different productivity demands.

• Blasting Chamber: Welded thick steel plate cabinet lined with wear-resistant guard plates, sealing structure to prevent shot leakage and dust overflow, providing closed blasting working space.

• High-efficiency Blast Wheel Units: Core working component, multiple blast wheels arranged rationally according to workpiece shape to cover full workpiece surface with projectile coverage.

• Shot Circulation System: Includes bucket elevator, screw conveyor and separator. It recycles, separates qualified steel shots from broken shots, dust and impurities, and feeds intact shots back to blast wheels for cyclic use.

• Dust Removal System: Matched with pulse bag dust collector, collects blasting dust and exhausts clean air up to environmental protection standards.

• Electrical Control Cabinet: PLC centralized control, automatic/manual switching modes for easy operation and safety interlock protection.
