Roller Conveyor Shot Blasting Machine

1. Brief Introduction

Roller conveyor shot blasting machine is a continuous through-type surface treatment equipment specially designed for mass processing of long, flat, rectangular and profile workpieces. Equipped with an automatic roller conveying system, it realizes fully automatic uninterrupted feeding, blasting cleaning and discharging without manual workpiece turning or handling, greatly improving production efficiency.

This machine adopts high-speed rotating blast wheels to throw high-hardness steel shots onto workpiece surfaces at high velocity. Through mechanical impact and friction, it efficiently removes rust, oxide scale, casting sand, welding slag, burrs and old paint layers. Meanwhile, it forms a uniform matte texture on metal surfaces to enhance coating adhesion, eliminate internal workpiece stress and improve metal fatigue resistance.

Common applicable workpieces include steel plates, steel sections, H-beams, channel steel, angle steel, pipes, automotive structural parts, metal frames and hardware profiles, widely used in steel processing, construction machinery, shipbuilding, automobile manufacturing, bridge engineering and metal fabrication industries.

2. Core Structure & Working Principle

Main Components

1. Roller Conveying System

Consists of heavy-duty driving rollers, driven rollers, speed-adjustable reducer and frequency conversion control unit. Rollers are wear-resistant and anti-collision, supporting stable horizontal transportation of heavy workpieces. Conveying speed can be steplessly adjusted according to workpiece thickness and required cleaning standard.

2. Blasting Chamber

Integral welded thick steel plate structure lined with high manganese wear-resistant protective plates to resist long-term shot impact and avoid equipment abrasion. Fully sealed design prevents shot leakage and dust overflow to guarantee on-site cleanliness. Multiple high-power blast wheels are symmetrically installed around the chamber for all-round uniform blasting without dead cleaning zones.

3. Shot Circulation & Separation System

Includes elevator, screw conveyor and air separation separator. Blasted steel shots fall to the bottom hopper, then are lifted to the separator by the elevator. The separator separates qualified intact shots, broken fine shots and metal dust automatically. Clean shots are recycled to blast wheels for repeated use, while impurities are discharged into dust collection barrels.

4. Dust Removal System

Matched with high-efficiency pulse dust collector. Negative pressure airflow takes away dust generated during blasting, achieving up to national industrial environmental protection emission standards, effectively reducing workshop air pollution.

5. Electric Control System

Independent PLC automatic control cabinet with touch screen operation. Supports one-button startup, automatic fault alarm, real-time display of operating parameters and interlock protection for all components to avoid misoperation and equipment damage.

Working Flow

①. Raw workpieces are placed on the inlet roller conveyor manually or via upstream automation equipment.

②. Workpieces move forward at a set constant speed into the sealed blasting chamber.

③. Multiple blast wheels eject steel shots to blast all sides of the workpiece simultaneously.

④. After blasting, workpieces pass through a shot cleaning area to blow residual shots off the surface.

⑤. Clean finished workpieces are output from the outlet roller for subsequent painting, cutting or assembly processes.

⑥. Shot and dust circulation system runs synchronously to recycle shots and collect dust continuously.
